Keep the group together after the reveal
Finishing a room often leaves a group with something to talk about. A social game offers a next step while that energy is still there. Guests can continue competing or simply spend more time together in a less story-driven setting.
That creates an opportunity for another paid activity and, where the venue has hospitality, food and drink purchases. It is an additional experience to sell alongside your room rather than a replacement for the puzzle experience that brought the booking in.
Offer a different kind of challenge
Escape rooms centre on a shared narrative and problem-solving. Mini golf and shuffleboard introduce a physical game with individual turns and visible competition. That difference gives an organiser more variety when planning a birthday, team social or extended group visit.
Social Rivals supports up to eight players per lane on both products. Larger bookings can be planned around the available lanes and sessions, with a clear timetable between activities so groups do not feel rushed.
Use the social space deliberately
A suitable lounge or additional room may have potential for an attraction, but escape room reception and briefing space still need to work. Keep arrival groups, players and teams leaving a room from competing for the same circulation area.
A compact game can be valuable when it gives an otherwise quiet area a commercial purpose. Put seating and refreshments in the right relationship to the game so the space feels like a destination, not a waiting room with equipment added.
Bring a distinct visual identity to the venue
Social Rivals Mini Golf uses reactive projections, automated ball tracking and LEDs. Interactive Shuffle uses motion camera tracked pucks with reactive LEDs. Touchscreens and portal control support operation, while branding opportunities help connect the new activity to your venue.
Putt Above Bristol is an existing Social Rivals mini golf installation within a multi-activity bar concept. It illustrates the wider multi-activity approach; it is not presented as an escape room case study.
